WOW. I finally got the hack, so the t2p website form works now at the top, the ‘live update’ can take your photos! Better late than never.
Thanks ChevignoN.

Pop Up Flash Gallery Opening Party
Save the date Wed the 11th from 7-9pm
I am starting to test print parts of my exhibit, so there’s a few things to be aware of:
If you don’t want something included, let me know or replace/delete it. I’ve seen nothing objectionable, and minor changes can be made on site.
Upload an avatar, or I’ll use your FB profile pic.
If you have print credits expiring at the end of the semester, let me know if you’d like to donate them to the cause. The photo paper is $$$
If you have any questions, requests, suggestions, hit me up.–Thanks–

t2party
Picture this space in two weeks with wall to wall photos (grids on the bulletin boards and huge prints on the opposite walls /not photographed) with titles and comments chronologically ordered for the world to see. Because t2p is a community effort, I want everyone there together, but the hall doesn’t really lend itself to events. I’ve talked to two 2nd yr artists on that floor about opening up their rooms. What do you guys think, it’s good? Small party? I’m excited to exhibit and hope you are too. Opening reception is tentatively scheduled for Wed 5/11 from 7-9pm.
Parsons Fest website:
tap2post spotlights 100 Parsons MFA Design & Technology artists who were invited to upload one photo a day from their mobile phones to the group website, anything goes. It’s a community art project that explores publishing as a way to connect, and the artistic expression of the DT artist as it’s created. The entire project is displayed on the 8th floor of 66 5th Ave.Thanks goes out to Melanie Crean and the Parsons Festival Committee for rush green lighting the exhibit, along with support from Carroll, Sebek, and Moriwaki.

Nan Goldin Has Spoken
Met one of my inspirations, Nan Goldin, who spoke tonight at Parsons on the topic of self-censorship. She said her ability as an artist is to share ‘it’ with the world. “I don’t think it’s art. I think it’s life. I don’t think it’s great art, and I don’t really care. I don’t think it’s me that decides that.” I told her a little bit about our program, and she gave me an A -

Tell your friends. Tell your groups to represent
I’m ready to roll out t2p to ALL DT as a participatory art (and research) piece. Not sure how much time I need to spend on marketing/begging, but please encourage others if you’re into the experience. Thanks.

Big step
Thank you City of New York for the free patches. 16 hours w/o a cig, and I’m hopefully optimistic.

Joëlle Bitton
Moriwaki introduced me to Joëlle today, who is also working on participatory design projects, and she showed me this exhibit she did. I love the presentation, what do you guys think of me doing something similar with t2p images for mini-thesis? With our cumulative print credits… Joëlle said she’d come to the opening!
